Vetta gives you two separate deletion controls. You can remove your statement data and report history without closing your account, or permanently delete your account including your sign-in identity. Both are available directly in the app.
Removes all server-side statement metadata and clears your on-device report history. Your Vetta account remains active — you can sign back in and run a new analysis at any time.
Permanently removes your sign-in identity and all associated data. This cannot be undone. You will not be able to sign back in with the same email address.
If you cannot access the app, email vetta@getvetta.co.za from your registered email address with subject: Data Deletion Request.
Anonymous product telemetry (bucketed event counts and anonymised session markers — no financial content) is not linked by a foreign key and is automatically purged within 90 days as part of routine operational data expiry described below.
Some data is purged automatically on a schedule, even without a deletion request.
Each statement record carries a delete_after_at timestamp set to 90 days from
your last activity. This timestamp is refreshed each time you access your results.
A background process runs every 24 hours and permanently deletes records where this date
has passed. Cascades to all linked processing records (parse jobs, results, audit log entries).
If you request deletion through the app or by email, the data is removed within 24 hours —
not 90 days.
Bucketed event counts (such as “analysis completed” or “report viewed”) and
anonymised session identifiers are stored in a separate product_events table.
This table contains no financial data, transaction descriptions, or account details.
A background process purges all entries older than 90 days, running every 24 hours.
Certain records may be retained beyond 90 days only where required by applicable law or security obligations (for example, fraud investigation or regulatory audit records).
